The iRobot Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Robot vacuums remove pet hair, lint and dust from floors before it can settle. They can also stay clear of obstacles like furniture that is slippery and stairs.
Most robotic vacuums require maintenance, such as emptying (and occasionally rinsing) the bin, and wiping cameras and sensors. Also, they need to be connected to a power source. Many come with smartphone apps for scheduling, adjusting settings and more.
Roomba 980 from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba 980, the latest in a series of top-of-the-line robot vacuums, is a must for any modern home. This model comes with a HEPA filter that can assist those who suffer from allergies. It also has an extremely powerful battery that can clean for two hours, and return to its dock automatically once the bin is full.
It also comes with a feature called smart mapping that uses multiple sensors to determine the areas in your home that require attention and make a tidy path around them. This technology is very effective in navigating around toys that have been left on the floor or furniture legs sticking out underneath objects. It also has a camera that will snap the Roomba back to the real world when it begins to drift away from its original location.
iRobot has also added the option of rolling rollers under the Roomba which do not have bristles and therefore are more likely to withstand knots than earlier models. These are also a little taller than older rollers and are able to fit under beds and couches that are low, and they're designed to let this model move more easily across a variety of floor kinds.
What sets the Roomba 980 apart from other high-end models however, is its inclusion of a new dirt detection feature, which uses cameras to identify bits of embedded dirt. vacuum mop combo is a significant improvement over the previous version, which relied on a sensor-driven pseudorandom coverage technique to bounce around the room and clean at minimum three times from various angles.

In our tests of its performance it was found that the Roomba 980 did well on carpets and hard flooring. It scored highly on carpets with a low pile, and on mid-pile. It did a good job of removing pet hair, but it struggled with very long and thick pet fur that was clumped together.
The Roomba 980 is still one of the best performing robots in our list despite the minor drawbacks. It's also less expensive than other top-of-the-line models. It's still packed with a variety of features we'd expect to find in a flagship model, but it doesn't have all the fancy app-enabled functions or smart home integration that you'll find in other top contenders.
The iRobot Roomba can be set up in a matter of minutes and is available for use as soon as you are ready to. After taking the yellow bin insert and pull tab from its undercarriage you simply plug it into a wall socket or its Home Base docking stations, hit the "Clean button" and let it do its work. It will automatically return to its dock when its battery runs out or it's stuffed with debris, and it also has indicator lights on the top of the device to indicate that its bin is full, it needs to be recharged, or its Wi-Fi signal has gone out.
